Installed Chrome Extension in My Browser

Well, from many Chrome extension available, I only install some of them, which in my opinion, I often use it. You don’t need to install many extension, because it will consume your search bar length, and make your workspace clutter. That’s not the philosophy design of Google Chrome. So I write this to give you a clue of most extension needed in your daily browsing activity. Its only a suggestion

My Chrome Extension

As you can see, I only install 7 Chrome Extension, but actually I think this is too much for me. 5 or 6 extension is enough, so you should choose well.

Here’s my installed chrome extension list.

1. Webpage Screenshot

I often take screenshot of a webpage to be inserted in my blog or site, that’s why installing this extension is a must. Before I found this extension, I use PrintScreen and Paint to take screenshot of visible web page, and I use aviary.com to take full site screenshot.

Using Aviary is interesting, just put http://www.aviary.com in front of webpage address you like to Shot, and your full page will be shot in a flash. But the drawback is, you must online to take a screenshot. Using Webpage Screenshot extension, you don’t need to go online to take a screenshot. Besides, both visible or full site screenshot supported.

Here’s a sample result of full page screenshot from Webpage Screenshot. Fast, can be offline mode, and there’s many resulution option, too..

2. IMacros

IMacros is  web scripting that let us record and replay repetitious work.  iMacros programmatically interacts with any and all websites. It fills out forms and automates the download and upload of text, images, files and web pages. We can import or export data to/from using CSV & XML files, databases or any other source to and from web applications. iMacros includes support for PDF handling, taking screenshots, simulating different user agents and connecting to proxy servers. It is the only web automation software that works with every website.

I’m not using this extension yet, but I’m familiar with Imacros before as an add ins from Firefox. At first glance, I see that Imacros in Firefox is more user friendly. I don’t know. I’m not even using it yet.

3. SEO Site Tools

There’s many choice to get SEO report from a website. I choose SEO Site Tools.

With SEO Site Tool, you can see SEO report of a site, only if you want to. Beside that, this report is complete enough, alexa rank, google page rank, compete rank etc.

4. Torrent Search

I like to download all things by P2P sharing, that’s why I need to search torrent files. I often use Google search only by putting “.torrent” behind my search.

With Torrent search, with a similar search box, we can get result only torrent type. It’s more convenient and easier.

5. EveryMark, Bookmark search

When I found an interesting website, I bookmarked it. After bookmark, there’s another work left, that is arranging my bookmark in folder to make it easier to remember. And this is not so convenient, because I often forget to do it, and too lazy to follow the link to confirm what this site about.

With Everymark Bookmark search, I can search  my bookmark without need to arrange it in folder. Everymark suggest   filtering result based on what we write in search box.

6. All Video Downloader

This extension is still in development, and not available from Google Extension official website. You can download this downloader from ChromeExtension.org

With this downloader, we can get download links from all popular video sites like Youtube, Metacafe, Dailymotion, Vimeo and more. Very important extension when we often visit daily video sites.

7. IPageRank

This is another SEO tool extension installed in my Chrome, but with a different use. Unlike all the other PageRank checkers, this extension will tell us, how much PR will be transferred to your site with a do-follow link on that page.

It is handy to see if a site would be worth your time of commenting or requesting a backlink.

As well as that, it tells you, how many links, follow links, follow external links and follow internal links there are on that page.

It also uses a random Google server to fetch the PageRank value to stop you being throttled by Google

===========================================

Well, that’s all my 7 Chrome Extension, I hope this is useful for you as a consideration. Another tip from me:

  • You can install as many extension as you wish, but choose only one extension with similar function
  • Keep your search bar “wide”, by limiting extension enabled in a time. Of course you can enable and disable extension to save space
